| Dr. Hannah Degge
In the last 13 years, she has worked in various roles in higher education both for undergraduate and post-graduate studies. She has also carried out numerous international health research projects and has several peer reviewed publications. A passionate public health advocate, Dr Degge’s interest in identifying and addressing the impact of social injustice on health outcomes for the vulnerable in the society, underpins her interest in public health, research, and health workforce development. In contributing to community development, she volunteers for a local charity Youth Aspire Connect(YAC), as a researcher and community engagement coordinator in Hull, United Kingdom where she lives. Her current research with YAC is a Wellcome Trust funded project titled ‘Normalising mental health and wellbeing conversations among young people from minoritised ethnic background’.
She is a registered practitioner with the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) UK, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a member of the Institute of Health Promotion and Education, and an affiliate member of the Chartered institute of Environmental Health
| Prof. James Brogan
James is the Principal Lecturer – Paramedicine at Robert Gordon University (RGU), Aberdeen, UK. James leads the Paramedicine discipline at RGU and is also responsible for areas across other disciplines and streams of work within the School. James supervises post-graduate students, and his teaching primarily focuses on leadership, strategy, influence, law, and ethics.
James has significant experience in paramedicine and the education of medical and non-medical prehospital practitioners. James has worked at several institutions, providing education, leadership, and teaching pre and post-registration practitioners across medical and non-medical programmes in the UK and internationally. James is a member of the Scottish Collaboration of Paramedic Educators (SCoPE) and the Scottish Government Overarching Steering Group on Paramedic Education. James also represents the College of Paramedics on the Allied Health Professions Federation Scotland (AHPFS), and is also a member of the Allied Health Professions (AHP) Academic Heads Group.
James is the Geographical Education Lead (Scotland) for the College of Paramedics and provides consultant-level support for the College in Education, Leadership, Policy, and Public Affairs. James is also an Editorial Board member of the British Paramedic Journal and an Expert Witness providing medico-legal opinion in paramedic and prehospital practice in civil and criminal litigation. James is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators.
| Associate Professor Dr Prabal Bhargava
Associate Professor Dr. Prabal Bhargava is currently the Discipline Coordinator- Ophthalmology at the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Taylor’s University, Malaysia. Prior to this he worked as Associate Professor at AIMST University, Malaysia and Associate Professor and Head of the Ophthalmology Department at the National Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. A clinical ophthalmologist, he has been actively teaching and training medical students in the specialty for over 24 years. Assessments, Blended models, and Competence based learning have been the ABCs of his work as a medical educator. He takes pride in his passion for the specialty and the drive to evolve a better teaching-learning philosophy.
| Dr. Keiran Mark Bellis
Dr. Keiran Mark Bellis is a dedicated healthcare academic and registered paramedic with extensive experience across clinical practice, higher education, and medical ethics. Currently the Course Leader for BSc Paramedic Practice at Robert Gordon University, he leads curriculum development and interprofessional education. With a professional background that spans frontline ambulance service, forensic medicine, and event healthcare, Keiran also contributes to academic research, particularly on mental capacity in suicidal patients. He is a published author and conference speaker, holding memberships in the College of Paramedics and the European Society for Philosophy and Healthcare.
