YOUR FILM

The conference will include a film festival and we would love to show your film.  We welcome films shorter than 20 minutes with a focus on social, environmental and economic causes of ill health such as lack of food and health care access, fracking, pests (rats, roaches, bed bugs), racism, gender violence, consequences of war, global warming –all as public health issues.  You can submit a shortened version of a longer film or some appropriate part of the film.  Be sure that what you submit includes the producer and director as well as the film’s name and a brief (and exciting) 100 word description of the film including the issues/subjects it addresses.

The films should be an example of media as an advocacy and/or community-organizing tool.

Please do not submit strictly educational films that tell the audience how to do something (such as treat an illness, make a bed, decontaminate a site, or kill a pest).

We welcome varying styles of documentary that will observe, document, inform, and impact audiences emotionally, intellectually and politically.
